Jetting has never been my strong point, only with trial and error. Here's my problem. My Shee runs really strong with no dead spots, hesitation, bogging, etc. but once in awhile the engine takes off almost as if the throttle is sticking. You know how a chainsaw speeds up as it runs out of fuel? Thats what it feels like. I figure its a jetting issue but I'm not too sure which way to go. Here's what I have. FMF SSTs, 20cc domes, Vforce 2 reeds, stock carbs, no tors, Boss Racing intake, aluminum airbox, no lid, and Uni pod filters. I'm at sea level and currently have 260 main jets. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Oh yeah I have the timing plate set at +4 and run 32:1 Yamalube.

Check for air leaks...Make sure the intakes arent cracked, etc...Start the engine and spray carb cleaner around the gaskets and if it revs up you have a air leak....

Thanks Smk, I checked all that before when I first had this problem but I will definetly check again. Right now I dont have a radiator in it, I;m having a custom one made for more flow. Should I go ahead and try some 270 or 280 main jets anyway?

Yeah this seems to be a new problem but I'm going to go ahead and put in some 280s. I dont like the looks of the carb boots either so I'm going to order a new set from Passion Racing (to fit their intake I'm using). I replaced the throttle cable thinking that was the problem but it still happened. The bummer is now I cant run it since I'm having a new radiator made and the builder has the old one. I just hope I can get it all dialed in before Quadfest.
