| what is the best way to do a plug test to see if my jetting is good |

| ok, you dont look at the plug tip. Technically you do a wot plug chop. 5th gear wound out, cut the ignition and pull in the clutch. Get a light and look at the base of the porcelain. You want a nice chocolate brown ring. You do the same thing for pilot and needle to really tweak it in

| What FullTilt had stated is exactly correct, Cut it at peak RPM's in 5th or 6th, pullin the clutch & roll to a stop. Pu in another plug to get you back. Once back in the garage, chop the plug & read it. Again as stated your looking for a cholocate coloered ring at the base of the porclin.

| you dont have to put a different plug in it to get you home,after you kill the ignition and coast to a stop,just pull the plug out and look at the color of the porcelain. then put it back in and ride it back.

| Yes, this is a good indicator, but no where near the plug chop test. its mush more accurate. But if you dont have alot of plugs......Go buy them, it will be worth it.

| Here are some instructions, you want to cut one side of the metal with treads on it, but do not cut into the porclin. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html

| You cut into the plug down almost untill you get to the base of the porcilin, then you break the piece you had just cut off. This will alow you to see the base of the porcilin.
