Jetting banshee

What are signs for lean or rich jetting. I still cant determine where I am at. My bike seems to run richer when I take the lid off rather than keep it on. WTF. I don't know whether to go leaner or richer in the upcoming months.

theres no way you can be lean with your setup you have right now, unless you have some freak banshee that requires more fuel then most others or air leak(s)
always jet leaner for summer
richer for winter

what does your plug look like? black and oily? white with soot? tan spotty?
how does it run? spit and mis fire? heasatate and lazy? some info needed here..
