Question WTF??? added powerlid, cutback fuel?

ok I had the k&n filter in the box with the lid no snorkle, and it was on the 3rd clip
so I bought the powerlid, and it came with jets and instructions. well all i did was
put the powerlid on w/the precharger and raised the needle to the 5th clip. well to much fuel for the bottom end and it wouldn't run decent unless i was in the
higher rpm range. so when I got home I lowered the clip to the 3rd clip and it was a little better but still not great, so i lowered to the first clip and it runs decent . so why when the lid was on it was on the 3rd clip and great! now with a power lid it has to be on the first? but it could use 1step bigger for mains on the top end but I'm afraid my throttle responce will go to hell again... any clues?

1st clip as in the leanest setting right. For me when I added the powerlid I didnt even touch the needle. Also I hope you didnt use the reccomendations that came on the paper because then it would really run like crap

finally I found my post!! lol... couldn't remember where i posted this.. umm yea didn't bother with anything they said.. 340's and 350's? yea right.. I got 280 or290 jets? I could use a step bigger for wot but low end already sucks.. damm with the stock lid on the 3rd clip it would stand up in 3rd throttle only.. now i've got it on the first clip (leanest setting) and its still not as peppy as it was.. i dunno but I'm not happy with the powerlid at all. I'll try to remove the precharger and see if that helps..

ditch the stupid power lid, its like runing 2 k&n filters on top of eachother, if your worried about big debris get an outerwear for $10 cut it up and cover the open top with it
they really recommend 340-350 mains? who the hell is writting thhis shit at k&n, apparently they have never tested it or tuned a banshee with their lid on it, those are some huge mains

yea I'm gonna try to put just the dry precharger on the box as a lid.. I'm betting it'll run way better..
ps..yea they recommend 340-350 mains at sea level.. no stinkin way I was even gonna do that. it's obviously way to big.
