Default Odyssey suspension

My buddy just picked up 2, 85 Honda 250 odyssey's (yes they are honda not some home made or pepboys crap) they have a front suspension on them but are a solid rear end no suspension at all on them just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to do the rear suspension up. Right now I am thinking do it like the 350 odysseys with a cv setup and a-arms, and shocks from a different machine, or possibly a swingarm setup from a different machine he's a certified welder so not to worried about modifying the frame to make something work. Any other ideas?

mount the engine to the frame and build a swing arm just like on a quad.but the engine has to be mounted more in front on the rear sprocket than above. unless u want to use a tensioner pulley. or u could make a pivot point behind the drivers seat and have the engine and wheels mounted to it. with shocks coming up off that mounted to the frame. all u would really need is the parts u already have some shocks and a few peices of tubing. is that a 250?

Thanks man I just found some pics of another guys we're just going to like you said cut the frame so that the engine and rear axle and everything is on its own pivot weld some shock mounts to it and bolt them up. Wont be the best suspension in the world but it will be a hell of alot better than what he has now and then we can just keep the whole belt drive and not have to mess with sprockets and all that shit. Yes they are 250's I thought they were 350's man apparently that wasn't a type-o.. No this guy is pretty damn good but i know what you mean socket. Still haven't decided it while we're tearing into it if he wants to do some other mods (porting, stroker, etc...) Will get some before and after pics up of it for sure. Me and jcyamahablue have been trying to gt his ass on here

ive seen his odyssey before.
he has a video of it on youtube, theres also a nutjob onthere who put a 100hp snowmobile motor in one.looks insane.

the 85 fl 350's were only made for one year and have a problem with overheating,so air shrowds would be a thought.
good luck!
