Unhappy I think a french man fucked my KDX200

I have a 1991 KDX 200 that was running sweet. A frenchman I just met through my sister wanted a ride so I ran him through the basics and let him at it. He drove about 2 miles in 1st gear at high revs, about half way, when he turned around, I noticed a lot of smoke. He got back, still revving like a bastard, and fell off in front of me. It now won't go. It has spark, fuel, clean air filter, but no compression to speak off using the finger over the hole technique. Water looks fine, transmission oil level appears normal, although appeared to be water vapour in the sight glass when it was hot ( not there now cold) but I did notice oil dripping out of the air box that ity wasn't doing before. I know squat except theory on 2 strokes and now got to fix it. Help!!!!

Default The french man

Forgot to add he had drunk two bottles of wine so it was partly my fault for letting him loose. I did mention to my sister, with a tear in my eye, "He's fucking my bike!"and what do yah know, I was unfortunately right.

I can kick it over with my hand.

I would make the French bastard pay for at least some of the damages. What a kind of a freakin reject blows a guys bike up and doesn't offer to at least help fix it? I've been burned by letting people ride my bikes over the years. I hate to be selfish, but I only let very experienced riders ride my stuff now. A couple weeks ago, I slacked off and let a couple 2 year riders ride my CRF250. When I got it back, it was all scratched up.

I think you need a new top end as well. Buy a repair manuel and read through it a couple times before you start. That way you will be kinda familiar with what's going on. Make a tool list before you start also. Look at the bright side, at least it's not locked up. Good luck!

Thanks guyz. A bit of humour normally never hurt anyone. It definettly isn't seized so piston and ringz sounds like the go. Do reed valves get damaged and cause lack of compression? To all the french, he's offered to pay.

No, the reeds have nothing to do with the compression...The cylinder probably will need to be worked on as well.

It's nice to know he has offered to pay for the blown motor. As long as a guy will pay for the damages, he's alright in my book.

Are you going to let him ride it after you get it rebuilt?
