lol omfg sweet and no the motor is sold, still got the frame though lol im actually looking to buy another quad so yea, the kx 500 motors are fun but the older bikes i think suck

Hello everyone,.... Hope no one gets pissed off at me for posting here

but I am new to this forum,... I bought a 88 tecate-4 and rode for about an hour and the engine locked up. I also bougha kx500 engine and I want to know if it would be an easy fit in the tecate. I have plenty of years of welding and fab skill,... just want to know how much work it is .

It would vibrate your ass off, I would just get a 330 long rod kit and go that route...you would be much happier in my opinion
