kx500 KIPS

hi every 1 , i'm new to this forum does any 1 else here know about or ride a kx500 i'm currenty rebiulding my 92 modle from the ground up, does any 1 know how to set the kips powervalve up, cheers for any help

well.. if a KX500 KIPS is like a tecate... you set the vavles so that... when the rod is pulled all the way to the clutch side the vavles should be all the way open

The best thing to do would be to get a Kawasaki service manual or a Clymer manual for the 92 KX500. I could explain how to do it on here but it would be a lot of typing.

There is a member stewart on here who owns a few kx 500's he has a really cool thread with mods he has done and dyno test after every new mod he tries. I will try and look it up for you..
