Smile 1986 Kx250 Jetting problem

HI i have a 1986 Kx250. When i start getting into high rpms it sort of boggs down but if i give the throttle a quick twist it will be fine again. I live in Denver, Colorado. The elevation is 5000 feet. Should i move the needle clip? It is currently in the 3rd position

Just curious, what carb brand/size and jets are you using. I am trying to jet the same bike (86 KX250).
