Default kx85 helppppp

hi,
iv got a kx85 and i think that the piston is a standard 48.5mm i order a wiseco 50.5mm piston overbore for it. the bike is currently at mechanics having other work done so i havent had chance to look but in the piston instillation guide it talks about "honed" or "honing". if any1 has an advice on what to do beacuse i dont know alot about the engine side of it all and im not sure what to do wheather ou have to get a new sleeve or what??? i look on a website selling kx85 sleeves and it said "Inside diameter must be bored and honed to size piston after installation" what does this mean can i out the overbored piston into the bike how it is now? if not how do i go about doing it?
thnks

what year is the KX? you may have to get a sleeve for it since most newer models are Nicasil plated and can't be over bored. and i'm pretty sure you can plate an overbore..

honing just roughs up the cylinder walls so teh new rings have something to seet to

you must send the jug to a machine shop...i wouldnt have went with the overbore piston myself...it just ends up in less longevity in the sleeve cause once that blows up ull need to get it resleeved...also on another note,if you bore the nikasil plating off of 85's i heard you must get it replated...i dont know if this is true or not and what happened to youe engine that it is in a shop? blown top end? or crank bearings? if it wasnt a blown top end i strongly suggest trying to send the piston back or send it back anyway cause that is 2mm over what it should have in it which is way too far for my preferanceif it had to get bored out buy the size of piston for your bore size dont buy the piston before you get it bored...just because its a bigger piston does not neccesarily mean your going to get more power...maybe a little more bottom end...
