f/s tecate 4

i just found a tecate 4 for sale in the local paper...but its a 1987 tecate 4 with a rebuilt top end...for 1000 obo...i'm gonna call on it tomorrow and i sure the hell hope its not sold yet.. if its in decent shape do you guys thing its a good buy??

i've called the damn number lots of times for the last 2 days and no fuckin answer..what the hell..i want this quad..and if i can't get it..(i'm spending way to much on my project quadracer) i'll let you guys know what kinda shape its in and send someone the number

here are the pictures of this quad...only me and another guy has looked at it and its been in the paper for a week. i'm talking to the bank...and hopefully will have it soon.. i'm gonna talk him down some...the hose mount on the top of the head came out...so thats gonna have to be pressed back in and then welded. it has a new rod and piston in it...i didn't here it run..he says it does..but i told him not to start it without coolant. the intake boot is drie rotted but not all the way threw...its missing the plastics but over all..put a new seat cover and a few other small things i think its not all that bad

You need all now plastic, seat cover, wheels and tires, a 38mm keinin carb, power pros exhaust, the front shocks look shorter than normal tecate shocks. Check the bottom of the frame around the foot pegs to be sure its not rusted through. I'd say it could be a nice quadif you wanna put some effort into it. as for the fitting on the head... you can clean it up and put JB weld on it or get with Corey Sprock for a billet head. If I had a grand just laying around I'd buy it. Your gonna wrap another grand into it pretty easily. You could part it out on Ebay and get your money back plus some.
