carb says mukuni... the only markings on (besides the mukuni) is a lil stamp that says w6 97 been getting a lot of parts that say they fit the 92....but they dont fit my bike..... I havent registered it yet (green sticker says 09) so Im trying to make sure it is infact a 92.

when ur finished it will be worth it, i picked up my 92 CR for 800$ and add on to it each payday, my bike was beaten pretty bad, and they are competative, even the bike being 15 years old i beat B class riders and keep up with A guys on their fancy pants 4 strokes

Your bike should come factory with a 35mm carb, I think in 94 they upped it to 36mm. Get rid of the mukuni and go with a keihin (sp?) they are much nicer carbs. I am partial to nikasil cylinders as opposed to sleeves but that just my preference. you can go to a 330 big bore with no case mods. 330 big bores are not stroker engines, they just use a longer rod on the stock crank to help with timing issues. A good running 265cc will be very impressive on a 240 lbs dirt bike. Here is something to keep in mind. a 265 id just a 250 bored 80 over.

The vin should be on the case behind the gearbox fill hole on the right side of the bike. At least thats where it is on my 87 KX500.
