96 Kx250

Well I finally sold my 98 YZ250 for $1300. I turned around and picked up a 96 KX250 for $1000. It ran great, but was pretty ugly so I stripped it down completly and repainted the frame black. I also ordered all black plastics. This is my progress so far, What do you think?

just a question though.....what made you decide to sell your 98 and buy a 96??

He sold that yamahammer because he knows that Kawasaki is a better bike!! I plan on doing that to my CR5. But I plan on painting the whole bike but the down tubes black. It will be murdered out like Big's pinto.

The 98 never ran right. It always had a flatspot in the powerband. I tried EVERYTHING to fix it. I even took it to yamaha and they couldn't fix it. My buddy had a 96 KX250 and I always liked the way it ran, so when I found this one I couldn't pass it up. It's just rattle can for now. I'm laid off from work so powder was out of the question right now.

Here is a few more pics of my progress. It's pretty much done, I'm just waiting on my plastics. I rode it around the neighborhood today and it rips. I'm glad I got this bike.
