Kx 500 Yeah!!

Well i had a kx 500 and ended up getting rid of it awhile back, but now i have found another rolling chassis i think an 87 its a bit of a turd now, it needs forks, shock, and a motor anyone who even has parts for a kx 500 or knows what will swap from a kx 250 let me know thanks. Brian

ya def talk to stewart, and sounds like a good project, kx250 parts and kx500 parts are a little weird because of all the quirky changes kawi made back then, pretty much everything off an 87 kx250 should match up, but that is prolly not 100 percent true. good luck, keep us updated

Honestly it will probably be alot cheaper to find another bike and use yours for parts..

i have a 87 moter,, but it might be better to find out the exact year of your bike first what is the tenth vin number ,,iwould want a 90 or newer bike for parts interchange abilty ,,,

Well just an update, finally pulled the front forks out of the triple trees only to see the guy who had them in last was an ass they were all messed up, one fork is good and still compresses the other is rock solid and wont even move, so now its time to break into that, btw still looking for a engine and carb and electrical if anyone has a line on one let me know thanks
