Exclamation Tranny oil turns grey

My bike runs fine, but the tranny oil turns grey, like paint. I just changed it and after 1 ride it is grey again. Any ideas.

Grey oil means 2 things water getting into your motor or coolant leaking like Flattrack said. Since it happend after 1 ride my guess is on coolant leaking.

Yeah check the seal on the water pump drive. On a Kawi I think thats the only way it could possibly get into the oil like that. The coolant doesn't actually go thru the clutch case to get into the jug like a zilla. I don't think at least.

Could that gray be from the fibers of the clutch wearing.

I'll pull off the clutch cover and check the clutch and replace the water pump bearings (2)and seal. The oil is a deep grey not whitish at all and not frothy either, so it might be the clutch going too. I will let you know.

Changed the oil again Saturday, the 22nd. Yellow white, so pulled I it apart. The clutch is good, but one of the two bearings was shot which damaged the seal. I replaced both bearings and the seal. I did 5 or more laps, so 2.5 miles on my track, and the oil looks good still. Now it is up for sale. I just wanted to go through it before I put it up.
