Does the T3 and T4 have the same motor?Does the T4 share the same motor as anything else?A friend of mine has one, he has had it for at least 5 years now and ive never seen it run.He said that he had it running a couple years ago,but a magnet came off of the flywheel.Now it just sits there.I have bugged him about it a few times and i think he would sell it real cheap,but he said that the motor isnt the original motor and that he was told it is a motor off a bike and that it is the same as the motor that came in the T4.I looked it over real carefully and it doesnt appear that anything is fabricated or not stock appearing.Can anyone shed some light?

I went and looked at it again today and i can now see that its not the right motor.I think its a kx250 motor.He said i could have it though, so ill go get it soon and hopefully i can find the correct motor for it.Its not in great shape,but ive seen worse.

T-3s and T-4s have different engines. A T-4 engine will come to a point in front of the crank, thats the counter balancer.

A KX 250 will work. It will vibrate a bit due to no balancer. The T-4 is geared lower to push the heavier quad frame. The T-4 tranny gears are a lot beefier than the KX.

Call him a Sally and make him get it running and ride with you.

And find out whats "real cheap", I would like to know

I went and picked it up tonight,it is really dirty,the plastic is in bad shape,some plastics are missing, and it has a KX250 motor in it.He said that the T3 and the KX250 motor that is in it now,are the same exact motor.I really dont want the headache of a noncounterbalanced motor in it so i think i will sell that motor and watch for a T4 motor.
