| What do you mean "it just died"? Like lock up the rear wheels died or like ran out of gas died? It started so thats a good sign, it won't do that with a hole in the piston or missing the piston skirt. First thing, check compression. If its good, I would point fingers at the electical. Tecate's original electical sucks. As far as what you should do... Yes port it, the big bore gives you more torque but not much in the way of power, porting will wake it up. Leave the head alone, to much compression and your playing with reliability. I am guessing you have one of Corey's billet heads. Those are nice! Take the FMF out to your driveway and run over it several times with the biggest truck you can find. A stock head pipe will run better. Really! Look up Rockhound motorsports on EBay, I know he has a couple of DG pipes. Ideally you would go with a custom big bore pipe but that runs some large coins. I am a dune rider that loves to climb. I run 13/46 gearing. Mikey (Rockhound Motor sports) runs 13/48 on an ILR330 Tecate. PBI has the templates but you have to order them through you local dealer because PBI only wholesales.
