Default KX500 Tranny Problems any suggestions

i have a 1990 KX500 that when running doesn't like to come down from third. She will work decent when the bike is off however if its running it doesn't want to. I was thinking it could be a shift fork or the spring in the clutch housing for the gear shifter? Any suggestions?? The clutch engages well however i do plan on changing it while its apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Justin

Welcome to E2S. I would either change the oil or adjust the clutch. If it does it while the bike is off then it should do it while it's running with clean oil and adjusted clutch. But these guys are K5 pro's and can help better....www.kxriders.com
