 old kawasaki ke100's Need info. I wanted to know if the old kawasaki ke100's were good bikes. Are there any problems to look out for.And what if the bike has no spark what is the weakest electrical component on this bike.

| dam you have a big garage. no spark could be alot of things. i put on together a year ago ran good for about 2 hours the the dry rotted crank seals went out.

| I actually used to own an old ke100 it's a very underpowered bike don't expect much the dual rear shock set up looked cool at least. Would be a good bike to give someone thats never ridden before as a starter but it will leave you wanting more for sure. What will you be using it for just cruising around on the street?

| Well i picked it up earlier today for $50. 85%complete bike,missing pipe and airbox cover.I hope on getting it running and it will probably be ridden in fields and going off some lil ramps with it.I only had 1 dirtbike before and I still have it.1974 enduro80.It is a lil sluggish but it is a fun bike to putt around. What is faster my enduro80 or the 1979 ke110.Also is the carb in the crank case? I didn't see the carb.Thanks for the answers i will post up some pics soon.

| i think the carb is under the side engine cover by the clutch because some old kawasaki bikes had rotary valves

| Ok I have started 2 tear down the bike for a clean up and inspection. I took off the left side cover and saw a hook up that goes into a diamond shape box that is mounted with 2 screws.Its a white wire from the right of the flywheel.I was wanting to know what it was.

| I checked behind the flywheel its a points ignition, any ways i took the little black cover off that was hooked up from the white wire form the stator and saw that it looked like a valve of some sort or something lol.

| hmmmmm ohhhh whoops sorry for the mis info there dude my friend had a bike like yours only it was a kd 175 it had a cdi ignition on it but yeah its prolly a rotary valve motor
