here fresh barn find that found me .. that is what freinds are for !!!
look at the odometer 5k miles engine seams low on compresion as it is very dry and needs some oil . i yanked one head off bore if fine .. slight cross hatch still visible . can scrape the carbon of with my fingernail. owner said it ran years ago when he parked it ... and a freind eaven loaned me the money and helped load it . what are freinds for?.. still has some gas in the carbs unshure when they last fired this thing up . gas isnt smelling all that fresh and the tank is clean?
um i had to sell mine years ago to kinda keep my mother from havin another heart attack . ecept mine was the 350 this is a 71 mach III 500 60 horsepower stock . loading it up i talked to some one that owned one .. he said yeah they have spunk... yeah the front tire is a choar to keep on the ground . i did remove the extra tank padding the old owner had on the tank.. guess that where he had to ride it... delivering my old one i was hitting 100 mph with an extra gear to go i was laying "flat out" on the tank. i unloaded this thing myself and pushed this monster the few feet . takin plenty of breaks ..
anny body want to comment? admit it you guys are jelous . and your tools are jelous, and want to carve bigger ports .... and you wonder why its engine is not on a blaster frame?

dude this thing was like being japans first sport bike period .
in 1969 nothing was faster . kawasaki owned the title fastest street bike ,
..... in 67 when they were testing this bike they had to get dunlop to make them special tires as normal bias ply shredded the tread peeled off like firestones on a ford explorer+ stock top speed no fairing was about 123 mph that is stock and un piped. on the pipe???bet you never roasted a firestone 721 off and the tread just seperated like a bad recap?
then they came up with the h2 triple 750cc animal in england you could buy one . you could not get insurance on a 750 h2 in mid 70's unless your name was rothchild.
.now i bet you at the strip the h2 is still there and will woop your r1 ass ... not saying annything bad about your r1 . just things you dont know about don't bet on ok.. ppl have the 750's somewhat streetlegal pulling crazy times with funny red and blue lines ..
dude when i got the phone call .. want a kawasaki 3cylinder 500.. i almsot p'd myself .. there it sat outside took me ten minuts to get there and 2 ppl alreaddy stopped before me and the bike wa alreaddy mine . they were still getting chased when i was standing thee wating to load it ...

yeah i took one buffalo in last summer. that was left out without heads for about 20 years or better ..took it apart then scrapped it . scrappin the frame i got a dt360 engine ...
i hope your feindish plot pays off . asi passed one up in the junkyard good top end ugly bike ... then i got a 550 nice shape . but remember those kettles are about 500 pounds light .. and the gt 750 only has 2 transfer ports .. wich kinda kills it a bit . i suggest buy the 70 then ebay it for a profit and go on a spending spree ..

have you ever ridden a new sport bike, and r1 has about 180 HP im pretty sure a 70's smoker is gonna have a few less then that...I think its cool your into vintage stuff but you gotta get with the times if your really talking performance

umm i dint mean to start a flame war but again did you ever see what these things are pulling in 1/4 mile no joke.. i am not knocking an r1 .. what does an r1 do standing 1/4 mile 10.90 seconds @ 141.58mph
ok this is not to flame not to really prove a point , this kinda sucks that i started this shit but here just after a quick google search http://www.lush-racing.com/Customers...omers_say.html In 2001 I purchased transmissiongears and labseals with Lush Racing to upgrade my H2-dragbike. During the season this nitrous-dragbike ran low 8 sec 1/4 mile passes with no problem after the years before I experienced both problems with seals and gears. Thanks Neville, great stuff.

yea like i said i think thats pretty cool what you got, not my style, but cool...and that article is pretty much my point, that bike isn't exactly off the show room floor, its a full out sprayed drag bike...you could probly get a stock r1 and with gear change, differnt back tire, power commander and exhaust to pull those same times...
