jetting for kdx 200

Hey everyone i need help with jetting for an 89 kdx 200. I'm not sure what carb came stock on this bike but i'm using a 34mm Keihin round slide carb. Its an older carb that has a 68 pilot jet and 150 main. The bike only runs good with the choke on but idles too high. With the choke off it wont idle and you have to give it at least 1/4 throttle to get it to stay going. any help here would be appreciated.

sounds like a intake leak.. spray carb cleaner,either,or water on the boot see if it revs up or dies..water it will dies carb cleaner it will dies either will make it rev up.. could be crank case seals to..

yeah the intake is leaking. I'm going to put a new one on and get it sealed up and see what happens. thanks

PILOT JET controls idle to 1/4 throttle. if it won't idle or you have to adjust your idle screw all the way one way go bigger pilot

NEEDLE setting controls 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle.

MAIN JET controls 3/4 throttle to wide open. jet up till it sputters on the top, drop down 1 and you're done.

i would drop the pilot down closer to #60 and bump that main up a couple sizes like 155 -160 ...set the needle in the middle and air screw 1-1.5 turns out

I put on a new intake and it fixed it. It may be a little rich on the bottom, but i'm not sure just yet. Its been raining like crazy and all i've got to do is ride it up and down the drive way lol. Thanks for all the help guys!
