hey guys i have a 1987 kx80 i plan on messing with the engine and ideas on what to do with the porting and whats the highest psi i can run for compression on this bike with 91? any other ideas?

well, there are so many factors other than Compression that will determine what octane you must run.....i have heard of people running 200+ psi on 93 without detonation or overheating problems. i wouldnt mess with compression unless you can take a chance to having to run race fuel....

as for porting, Denny of Flotek (can be found here on the boards) can really work over that cylinder and make that bike scream.

also, a bigger carb, Vforce reeds, aftermarket exhaust will make a big difference.
