pipe help for 01 kx250?

I just got a procircuit platinum pipe w/304 shorty used, and when i ran my bike the idle was good and it reved ok, but it was smoking alot. I rode it around and it seemed fine but how significant should the difference in power be? also if you know what should my jetting be at?..thanks
