cool ,thats pretty aggressive sprecs for a 500 engiine ,yo u have sub exhaust ports right,, what is there duration? sounds like a good combo with lots of blowdown ,you might get some more gains by running a little higher transfer by a few degrees

man does that sound good.can't wait either for results.if you have a chance try reed cage spacer to see if it would make power curve a little broader without losing peak#'s.i put one on a 84 cr500 and it help with rideability without lost on top end.too much wheeling at any time cost some races.i also use the mossbarger cage.like these!good luck

Lightbulb

my thoughts are this ,alky loves compression and high port timing but high compression tends to blow out the spark and in my opinion you should look into a Nology high output coil wit htheir hot wires and plug,i have this mod on my cheetah cub banshee ,for a single cylinder Kit it is only like 95$ and i bet youd see some gains .it definitly sparks a lot stronger-you can feel it respond better and visually see a very strong white arc off the plug

will the nology coil work with all kx5 or is there more than one #for the different ohms for pre 90 bikes.mine being a 89 calls for i think 5.0-6.8 and 90 on says 2.6-3.6 ohms.

with the nology coil, would that have any real gains in performance for a stock tecate?
