i have made at least 40 dyno pulls on a land and sea wheel dyno , my best was with u 2 vp fuel 10 degree adv timing , carb bored to 40.5 mm, a .010 head gasket .025 milledfrom head 178 mian jet 8.5 slide 40 pilot ngk9 plug pc 2 pipe ,wiesco 86mm piston , lots of port work .i port racing heads for auto motive at my shop every day , iused v force reeds uni filter power core silencer, piston .005in hole tdc. recut squish for.025 , got peak rear wheel tourqe to 55 ft at about 6000 peak hp from about 6800 to7200 , stewart

Stewart and I spent 4 weekends in a row makeing countless #'s of dyno pulls on his kx 500. Each time making one change at a time to determine what maid the most horsepower. Using a dyno was a real eye opener!!! It maid a believer out of me and Stewart. It instintly told you what was true and what was just hot air!!!
The truth is if you don't have a dyno how do you really know, what kind of horsepower you are making? After riding this Big Bore 2-stroke, I can tell you that there is nothing more scarier than riding something that weighs 200 some odd pounds and has almost 72 hp. It will show you instantly who's a man and who's a mouse!!! My 2 cents worth.
