Default Eagle 110CC

I know this is a 4 stroke but thought you guys might be able to help me out. This is my nephews ATV that I bought him for his b-day. I bought it used and he has ridden it a couple of months and now all of a sudden I can't get it started. I think he tinked with the mixture screw and idle screw on the side of the carb but don't know for sure. I can "almost" get it started. I will turn over and I know there is fuel and spark. It will catch everyone once in a while and almost start but will not. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do. I am to the point now that I wish I didn't buy it but he likes it SO much! He just wants to go riding with me.

first off check it for spark, make sure compression is good, two obvious givens im sure you know, then if he fooled with the airscrew, try turning it all the way in, then 2 turns out, that should be near stock, make sure your plug isnt fouled, and try hitting it with a tiny bit of ether, make sure your gas is flowin and you got enough oil in it, let me know what happens, good luck

Spark is good and fuel is good. I will replace the spark plug and check compression and then make the adjustment to the carbs and see what happens. Thanks for the help. I will post up what happens.

OK, I made the adjustments and pulled the spark plug out and cleaned it off. It was really nasty since the last time I pulled it. That was 3 weeks ago. I don't know where to get a spark plug that small. Also, my compression tester is not that small either so I couldn't check compression. I did get it running and there was alot of oil burning near the exhaust. I am thinking that the rings maybe be bad but am not sure. Once I can do the compression check I will know for sure. Thanks for the help.
