Lt 50

I have a 84 suzuki lt50. I was wondering if anybody knows anywhere that you can find mod parts for it? This quad only goes a little over 10mph but I know you can get more out of it. Does anyone know of any little tricks for gettin more speed out of the little guy?

i knew a site awhile back that had mods for the lt50 and lt80 but i'll have to try and find it again for you, it make take sometime but i'm sure i can find it

some of those little quads have exhuast flow governors. i saw on ebay one time thety had a FMF fatty pipe for a LT50 try looking for one of those. other than that i'd say try and locate some reeds. youi could also clean up the intake ports that would open up a littel more power. i wouldn't port it though changing the port layout on that might screw it all up. or how bouit milling the head down bout .020. that would make it run 92-93 octane. or if your a fabbin man try making a reed spacer for it. that about all i can think of right now

try findding a lt80 jug, piston, and head then port them and shave it down a .020 and use motor mods from a lt80 for the top end and do what 370banshee said

There are actually 3 restrictors in the LT 50. There is the baffle in the end of the pipe. It is really easy to remove. There is a restrictor in between the carb and the motor. If I remember right is in the neck of the connector closest to the motor. The other is a little washer at the bottom end of the pipe where it connects to the head. If you remove all 3 of these, it will go about 20-23 mph. The only problem I have with mine is the carb. it clogs up all the time and will quit running. I have ordered an after market air filter, so hopefully this will help.

it obviously lowers compression so that would give you more ability to rev out or???
