my friend started on a trike, he says hes glad he did since it tought him to read the terrain and lean and stuff

get him like a little 4-stroke or something

i am a big fan of the etons. my son has been riding his viper 50 since he was 3 1/2 he is 5 now and loves it. There are a ton of aftermarket parts for them so as he grows the quad can mod to suite his needs. The chassis also is the same as the 90cc so that when he is ready you could just drop in the bigger motor as well and save $$ on buying the new quad. good luck

i started on a suzuki 2 storke 50 dirtbike i forget the name it was a while ago . I was 4 years old ... it went well forwhat it was... get your kid a bike .. it teaches them respect for the machine .. quads u cna ride hard all day .. untilll a certain point .. and little kidswont understand that .. in a dirtbike .. u actually have to laern how to ride ... and yes quads will be more popular then dirtbikes and acourse three wheelers in teh future ... if u notice how many quads at the dunes there are then mx guys like myself .. its unbelievable .. prolly 10 quads to a dirtbike ... atleast

I started on a little 50 honda 2stroke quad, but you could get him an LT -80, i had one of those too when i was really little. Or, you could wait another 4 years and get him a CR500(thats right, 500). I was watching Carnigee hill climb videos and this one guy put his kid on a CR500 and he tore up a bunch of other guys. I dont know how the kid controlled it, the back end was all squirlly.

I would say it is up to what he would probly be riding when hes older, if there is more of a chance that he'll be riding a quad start off wiht a quad or vice versa

im sorry if anyone disagrees with me but at 8 years old i highly disrecomend you should put him on a cr 500.
