| I just recently inherited a 1988 KTM 250 Enduro. Unfortunately it was borrowed by a so called friend, left outside, and returned about a year later. The rubber intake manifold and airbox to carb boot are wasted, and the piston in the rear master cylinder is seized. When I tried to gently kick the motor over, it felt like the rings were stuck, so I poured some oil in the spark plug hole and intake port and let it soak. I got the motor to turn over and found I had no spark! My local dealer has the intake manifold and can get the boot, but what concerns me is the CDI. Does anyone out there have any feedback on this bike good or bad? Any suggestions for an electrical dunce like me to troubleshoot the spark. My thoughts were to check all connections and use dilectric grease to re-connect and a basic visual inspection. Were the CDI's a problem with this model, and do any other year\models interchange?

| I use to own one of them great bike in their day. Mine had no spark also and after alot of stuffing around and testing it turned out to be the top coil (located under the tank) Bought a new one and ran great ever since.
