| I have a KTM 125 SX 2004 FMF Silencer I am pretty good with a wrench I guess haha... I just cleaned the air filter and was about to take the carb apart to see if their was any crap in their as the air filter was super dirty, I could only get 2 of the screws off so I just put them back on cleaned the airfilter and left the carb alone, now the effin thing is leaking fuel as soon as I turn the gas on.. Its coming from the lower over flow tube....... I checked the needle and it is placed properly, im confused...... Float? maybe stuck? or outa place... can u help me with that? |

| Welcome to E2S! It could be the float due to debris or so.. Your bike is an 04 & the filter was pretty dirty.. This is the first time cleaning it? Can you take the carb appart, it prob needs a good washdown with carb cleaner! Edit: P.S. Got any pics of that bike, let's see that toy!! Or how about some of those mx action snaps??

| okay here's my matinence intervals: (keep in mind this is a 250A class rider) Every Moto: clean the air filter clean and re-lube the chain check coolant levels adjust any suspension settings add gas (duh) after race day: Do a compression test. (should be between 210-140 psi) Strip down to frame and check for weak spots or stress marks in the frame change tranny oil clean the teeth on the sprockets Every 10 moto's: repack the silencer re-pack the suspension linkage and swingarm bearings normally replace chain if needed. clean carb and powervalve as needed: rebuild the engine replace clutch plates and springs as for the carb, sounds like a stuck float. rap is lightly a few times with a hammer or pliers and see if it stops. also if the carb is rotated a few degree's from perfect center it will leak
