Default 89 MX 500 parts? pipe? plastic?

Hey y'all! I just picked up a 1989 KTM MX-500. Lemme tell you, it's a bit much... about the most extreme thing I've ever ridden! Anyways, it needs a rear fender, but if I could find a kit anywhere, I'd probably buy it. Also, I managed to eat shart on it already, so it needs a spark arrestor, and if anyone makes a pipe for it, I'd probably do that too. This bike runs and rides too well to be this ugly. I'm going to strip her down and get the frame powdercoated, and work my way back up.

Any ideas on finding parts? There's next to NO online resources for this bike.

Thanks!

Default Part also a problem

I've got a 88 KTM 500 MX and I am also having a hard time finding any parts at all. The bike needs new clutch plates and I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Otherwise the bike runs great. Anyone out there know where I can find clutch plates for this hog? Thanks.

There are some clutch plates for the KTM 350 on ebay. These should work on the 500's, although the 500's may need more.

I have a KTM 550 MXC.

Yamaguy232, PM me because I know someone how has a new OEM crank for the 500 and a pistons too.

We have a great discussion on these bikes at:

There is a friend of mine who always posts there named Picklito...send him a PM about the pistons...he knows the seller.

I have three wheels two rear (1 drum and 1 disc) one front disc, three radiators and a kick stand for the 80's KTM 250 that will probably work on that 500. Let me know as I want to get this stuff out of the garage or I'm going to throw it out.
