| I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a stock head milled .020 and it ran great in my backyard, but i just got back from little sahara in OK. with a cracked head. I had a machinist I know that worked for gm do the work and i checked for true and it was right on. So the only thing i can think of is that .020 might be to much cause the head cracked between the water jackit and the stud hole. I have a stock head to put back on it but i figured I would put this out there so that others could learn from my miss fortune...

| Does a 020 cut reduce the outside diameter of the of the squish band? I have one i have been wanting to have cut, but wasnt sure how much i could go without needing rechambered? J |

| yes it did change the diameter, but i did not reshape the chamber. that might of been my problem, thou the bike screamed like nonother for one damn night. i think that there are some guys on this site that can cut it and shape it for you.

| mine is shaved way more than that. the guy that shaved the head went crazy on it. i asked him to shave it .030 and it looks more like .30. anyway, i had to chamber it. i actualy did it myself, free hand, with a dremel. perdy damn good too if i might add.
