New to 2 smokes, basic stuff?

I should be finishing my 86 lt250r resto within the next month. This is my 1st 2 stroke, Ive had a warrior and 400ex in the past, and I still have my '06 Kawi Brute Force 750. Is there anything I need to know right off the bat. A few people around here tell me that Castor 927 mixed 32:1 is what I should run gas wise. But anything else?

Personally I'd run Amsoil Dominator mixed at 50:1, if you have a ported cylinder mix at 40:1. I don't like castor based oils personally, and then Maxima on top of that, but thats really a personal preference deal for the most part.

Anything in particular you'd like to know? if your new to the old Suzuki Quadracers, you'll want to know a few details, but let me ask you first, how far did you dig in your restoration? meaning what do you have done to the bike?

Well here are the pics, Theres only a few now, buy I hope to get more. http://www.bikepics.com/members/chucked/86quadracer250/ Everything is completely apart. I replaced every wore bushing/bearing on the frame. went down to bare metal on almost every part and either painted or powder coated it. Replaced the crank bearings in the motor, all seals and gaskets, whole rod and top end kit. Ported it out (a motorcycle shop did all of the machine work). The plastics were painted, I pulled that off and sanded it down and brought them back, for the most part anyway. Replacing all the cables. And Im about to order a bolt kit for it. 75% of the bolts on the bike itself were standard. So I had to retap them. and a few I had to drill out, and then either helicoil (one) or filled in with weld, redrilled and tapped (about half dozen fender mounts)

i have used golden spectro mixed at 32:1 for 20 years on my trx 250r i have never had a problem with it i have never fouled a spark plug but it always comes down to personal preferance with what you think is good.

i run maxima super m at 40 to 1 i ran castor 927 but its a racing oil if your not beating the hell out of it it gums up your pipe and motor
