| i've thought the same thing for awhile now. I wanted a honda 250r for the longest time. I ended up buying my 92 LT a little over a year ago. Now, i find myself buying a second LT. I picked up a very nice 87 for only $1250. My 92 i got for $1200. The 87 is very fast. Its been ported, and is much much faster then my 92. I've always had great success with LT's. In a years time, my 92 fouled 1 single plug. I would still like to own at trx250r at some point but i cant say 1 bad thing about LT's since buying one.... or 2. I've rode a real nice honda 250r with a 310 esr powervalve motor.... it is very fast. My 87 will give that bike a run for its money. I'm actually thinking about buying a 3rd LT here soon. I also love the bikes, and will recommend them to anyone. |

| I think that the reason people down about the lt's is because there aren't alot of aftermarket parts for them. I owned a 250r with lone star chrome a-arms, chrome swingarm, axle and a 330 kit with a power head. The biggest kit they make for the lt's is a 292 kit. Its no wonder people think there slow |

| I agree.. the lt is a very great quad. People really now a days just dont appreciate some of the old stuff. But personally i love my lt250r's and might be pickin up another one in about a month or two. Like he said the onyl reason they arent popular is because they dont have a great list of aftermarket prices...but they can still be made very fast.

| I agree as well. I bought one about 8 months ago because I wanted a cheap 2 stroke to play with. I paid $600.00 for it and it was tons of fun. Then I found myself selling off my warrior that I had thousands invested in and buying another Lt. This one smokes banshees in the woods but even worse in a drag race!!!!! Gotta love these things. |

| me (91 lt250r) and my brother (04 yfz450) lined up a dozen times and drag raced up show off hill at florence. he had the advantage with being about 50 lbs lighter than me, but....... the good ol' lt was the victor everytime.
