| Its all about being the underdog...... Pulling up to some Honda 250r's & supprising the hell out of them. Total dune setup.... Specs are in me signature. Its been a 3-4 years build so far, and not done yet. My lt250r was manufactired in the same month I was born: December -1984 I will always be a BIG 1st Generation lt250r fan!!!

| New shocks look pimp Travis. I have never really owned any other LT, but the more I research them, the more I like 85 86. Yes, I know the other models have a more powerful engine and a better aftermarket. It is really to bad their isnt better after market for them. There is a lot of little things I like better, to many to mention. But I like owning a quad that is three months younger than me. And that my model started sport quads. Its kinda like owning a early 60's Mustang. 80's represent!!!

| I had the money in my pocket , and I couldnt find a 2 stroke quad anywhere within 200+ miles. A guy posted it on atvtrader.com about an hour away from me , and I bought it that day. I fell in love i couldnt say no after the first ride No Mods Bought it completly stock with the gold wheels and bubble tires and stock pipe. Now it has douglas wheels/holeshots and fmf pipe ![]() ![]()

| I almost forgot to post this. Has anyone noticed the subtle differences from the factory, even with the 85-86 range. A few things I have noticed different , comparing mine to LT250racers (both 85): My rear master cylinder had the thick black paint on it, his doesnt. There is a small bracket on the frame to hold the cable for the seat latch, and mine doesnt have that. Its almost as if they changed things as they went along in the early years. Post some of the things you have noticed.

| Between the 85-86 lt250r years some of the cylinders have an extra round cylinder of aluminum (part of the mold) above the reed induction. Most do not...

| I know the port shapes are different between 85-86, but that all changes once you get it ported or course! I love being able to ride with people on their 450s, taking super tight turns and hitting the 2-stroke power band, and them not being able to keep up. I laugh and say, ya my bike is 22 years old. My favorite part of the early quadracers is the weight and nimbleness. We seriously have the lightest sport quads ever. The dry weight on an 86 is 293lb, 85 is even lighter i think. That's just sick.
