| Better (+2 +1 etc) A Arms I dont think you can get more travel in the back. A longer swingarm might make it more travel using the same shock...

| Although longer arms are going to help you out, if you don't want to go that route, i would think moving all the shock mount locations and finding some longer shocks wouldn't be all that hard to do. The back may be challenging, as i'm not quite sure how it's set up. If it's like the 85-90 lt250 then i would check out HSD's long travel set up for the 250 and see if you can copy that somehow. The front seems like it would be easier if you know how to weld.

| Erbe, Check out ASR or First Flight on Ebay, both make C/M LT500 a-arms. I prefer the ASR stuff, but if you are not MX'ng the Zilla, the First Flights will work OK and are the cheapest

| your shock travel in most cases is limited by the amount of motion allowed in the heim ends of the a-arms. shock manufactures have to engineer their products with heim end tolerances in mind. some a-arm manufacturers offer high misalignment heim ends that will offer more allowable travel. it's best to inquire from shock manufacturers what a-arm manufacturer their shocks were designed to incorporate with. if your shock offers more travel than your heim end will allow, the ball joints will eventually fail from repeatedly being stressed to their limitations. i have contacted elka, it was about a year ago, and with +2+1 lsr arms and their shocks you'll achieve almost another 1 1/2 inches of travel. i did not inquire about stock travel with their shocks as it wasn't in my interest. stock travel on the lt500r is 9.1" and with the +2 set-up it's 10.5" |
