We have ran everything and i would say just get an aluminum one for the back sprocket and a steel one for the front with a quality oring or xring chain. they always said that the 500 would snap the master link but we have never had a problem and it is a hell of a lot easier to take apart when needed. Oh and you might as well order two front sprokect because you will go through both of them before the back sprocket and chain are shot. Don't know what it is about them 500 but they eat front sprokect.

i use steel sprockets with an x ring rk chain.

a 14 tooth sprocket in the front will last longer. i used to eat through 13's all the time.

I use Sidewinder. Breaking the master was a CONSTANT problem regardless of the brand until I switched to them. And yeah, 13's go fast. I'm rolling over a year and a half and I think I've had to adjust for stretch once.

My friend had a zilla, had the same master link problem. Bought sidewinder and solved all his problems. expensive but well worth it for a zilla
