| I bought a big bore kit for my zilla, its a 530 kit. I was just wondering what carb setup I should go with and what will perform the best. Any info will help, Thanks. JIM |

| The best setup is to have the stock carb bore out to a 42.5 mm by DR. Q at quadracerhq. If you have a stock carb in good shape its also about the cheapest way to go also. The next best is to have 39mm keihin bored to 40.5 by esr but that is costly especially if you have to buy the carb from them. I have not ran a rxd 42.5 mukini carb but I know that is the fastest setup. I have a 39 keihin on my 500 and i love it but its just piped with the carb. DR. Q website is http://quadracerhq.com/index.htm. With the 530 you will defiantly want one of these two options. Good luck |

| I have heard good things about the Rx Carb (42.5mm mod by Q). I plan to have at least one of my stock carbs Rx'd as soon as Q can do it (get in line and no cutting). The nice part about using the stock carb is that you don't need a new throttle body or throttle cable. Keep in mind that you may need one or both of these with some of the other offerings. I think the PWK requires a cable and the Lectron may require both. I have also heard very good things about the Lectron carbs but they are pricey. I know a guy who just got a 48mm Lectron and he loves it. I have my eyes out for a used Lectron but not quite that big. While I'm waiting for the Rx'd carb or a used Lectron, I may try a PWK, either 39mm or bored to 41.5mm.

| Hey thanks alot guys, I appreciate it, I'm deffinately leaning towards Dr.Q. I didn't even know he did that. Does anyone know about how much that costs. |

| You'll need a 88-90 Stock Zilla Carb with a good slide. I think it's between 100.-150. depending on how good or bad the carb is when Q receives it.

| Lectron = brand new carb. RX'd = 20 year old reworked carb. Yeah, Dr. Q does good work , but it's still a 20 year old reworked carb. Decide whatever you like. The RX'd carb will save you money. The lectron is new, and bigger (depending on size you order), which isn't a bad thing on a zilla. Neither would be a bad choice IMO. I'm just the type that would spend the extra to get a new, non 20 year old carb while I was spending money on a carb. Last edited by qzillanut; 04-15-2008 at 08:16 PM. |
