i am going to run klotz. my bike builder said that is plenty of oil to not worry about a thing.. It will only be about 6 months till it gets port and polished and the head done.. i do understand what you are saying though on skimping the oil.. ill talk to him about it.. he is just insanely smart with suzukis and i trust he is making good decisions.. he built my 250 about 5 years ago, and it still runs like a bat out of hell..

You'll get away with 50:1 with klotz but, for the minimal gains in power vs. ring life, bearing life, I wouldnt run anything leaner than 40:1.

Well I got my zilla back yesterday after getting the carb work done, and I must say that I am very dissapointed.......... I was really expecting a 500 to seem way faster than my 250.. The 500 just doesnt have the sponkeyness to it like the 250.. I mean the 500 is pretty fast, but I am pretty sure the 250 would smoke it. The 250 is ported and polished, and the 500 is stock internaly, but still 500 vs 250.. I am just blown away.. Maybe i should have kept the 250. Now I have yet to run the 500 up the hill, but I can get a pretty good feel of it on the asphault... What do you think..

Well what pipe is on it? The power of a zilla can be a little decieving at times. It pulls like a 4 stroke on bottom so, sometimes its going faster than you really think lol. But yeah, it really needs some port work and more importantly the head reworked. Is the head stock? The stock head is horrible. Detonation even on Sunoco 94. You really should run race gas 50/50 with a stock head

It has the retarded FMF pipe on it and the head is also stock. I am running 91 octane. I really hope that it is faster than it seems, but i dont think that it is.

That fmf is like a stock pipe. It really chokes up that motor. Try getting a hold of rjatv, he sells poer pro pipes for about 310 bucks. Thats with the silencer. The head, I dont know if flotek pisses around with these or not. Dr.Q and trinity would do it. If you want Q to do it, you might wait a while. Im sure flotek would port it. Dont use trinity for that lol.

i have a local LT500 gooroo. He is well known for racing zillas.. He will do any motor work I want done, and he does a hell of a job.. Im sure you have heard me talkin that 250 of mine up.. I am still just so dissopointed abut the difference in my 250 to 500 i figured that would be a no brainer.. OOooppss i was wrong.. Oh well i have a new base to work on to get it running I hope way faster than the 250.. I any way i guess in the end its just about the money... FPMxer wants to sell me his paul turner pipe, which i hear works really well.. i think ill go that way..
