Throttle cable issue

Okay, I got a brand new OEM thumb throttle, cable and the little cable end. I started putting it on the bike and come to find that the cable is too short. I know that the zilla came stock with the mikuni but I'm running the Keihin. Am I missing something here or is there a different cable that I should have ordered?

I think maybe you need a cable for a keihin. I have a keihin on mine but i ordered a motion pro twist throttle kit for it and i didn't have any trouble.

i.m guessing you are probably installing a 39 pwk
they make cables for them
i have modified the stock cable to fit
you can take the end where it screws into the thumb throttle and cut some of it off
but becarefull nut to cut the cable in half
wheres your stock carb at i,m in need of a carb do you want to sell it

The bike came with the 39PWK and twist. I sold the twist and should have guessed the stock cable would be shorted as the caps between the two carbs are different. I will order one today for a PWK. If anyone still has the Mikuni on thier bike and needs a new throttle cable $15 includes shipping to your door.
