Default Greatest 2 stroke EVER!!!!!!!

When I first joined here, I mentioned my quadzilla briefly. Mostly just to say that it was a work in progress and I would post pics and info when it was finished.

I got my zilla over five years ago in North Pole Alsaka by trading a friend of mine a Toyota pickup with a blown motor for it. He told me the zilla ran great, just needed the rear shock rebuilt. So I traded him the truck for it and just rode it as it was. He was right, it ran awesome. Tons of fun!! But the terrain in Alaska can be a little rough in places and after only two months I hit a huge rock and busted the crank case open. I was just a little broke at the time so I pushed it to the side of my old mans garage an thought I would fix it when I had the money.

Turns out that was just a good place for me to forget about it for awhile, so it sat. A few months later I moved to Illinois and it stayed. Throughout the years I got probably a dozen phone calls from my old man with offers to buy it from me. They ranged anywhere from $1,200 to $3,000. And this is definitely not the nicest looking zilla out there.

Two months ago, I helped my old man move from Alaska to Virginia and in the process was finally re-united with my zilla again. Now obviously after sitting outside in Alaska for over five years with the crank case busted open it was not looking pretty. I was easily expecting to have to rebuild the whole thing.

So a couple weeks ago I am in the shop working on my RM250, and figured just for the hell of it I will see if it kicks over. And it DOES!!! I am a little surprised at this point but I take it one step further. I put a fresh plug in it, drained all the old fuel from the tank and carb and put fresh fuel in it..............................

Five years of sitting outside in Alaska..............Busted crank case...........pipe almost falling off....with no silencer in it...........................and it started!!!

on the FIRST KICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am convinced that I own the greatest quad ever built!!!

i never ridden a zilla but would love to but i know they are mainly for a bigger person not my 160lbs a$$ but as far as the greatest quad ever built i would say its one of the top 3, my opinion it goes trx250r, banshee then zilla

I would say the zilla is the greatest stock quad. once you get into customizin your quad, the 250r and shee become better, but only because you can't do much to the zilla.

I agree with the OP. The zilla is the top dog. Always has been. Always will be.

The Best Pipe For A Zilla Is A Q-Pipe!!!
And It's The Best Pipe That Has Ever Been Developed For The Zilla, Period!!!
And it's not tough to find the Goodies either, you just need to know where to shop.

i would say that the trx250r was the greatest quad ever built it didnt have to many flaws like the zillia with the wieght and faulity engine designs suzki made

then the banshee has problems with the plastic water impeller and rough throotle with tors and hard shifting with this pipes and reeds on it

then the tecate 4 there isnt much to say about those and aftermarket in the 80's for it were low and still is it wasnt very pouplar

but the honda trx250r was a great bike it had the metal impellar and strong waterpump that came from the cr the tranny was awesome with its smooth shifting hits it had great power all around for every rider the wieght was equel on it and it was very impelling to the eyes and aftermarket is great for it the only thing i knew the honda had problems with was the rear motor mount and sprocket hub leaking on the seal if rust got inside

but thats quads and three wheelers are a different story i think the tecate 3 was awsome looking
