Default 89 LT500 Engine repair

I have an 89 LT500 engine in need of repair. Anyone have a suggestion on where to send? I am not opposed to shipping somewhere and I live in the DFW area.

Welcome to E2S. If cost is no option then go to quadracerHQ and seek out Dr.Q for your engine work.

Sure don't. I do all my own work but people rave about Dr.Q's engine work but it's out of my budget.

Been a mechanic all my life just not sure if I REALLY need all the special tools to split the case. Do you? And if so where did you get them..dealer?

To split the zilla cases I used my rubber mallet. The tool I normally use would not work because the stator plate screw holes were off center. If you can get the cases split yourself and do the job yourself. It's not that bad. The BIG thing to remember is getting the 3 dots lined up on the crank, crank gear and counter balancer gear. RJatv can get you all the parts needed for the rebuild.

If you need the manual let me know as I think it's available on the HQR site and I can get it for you.
