Hope your clutches arent ruint to. I cleaned mine off with solvent or the fact they laid in box for 3yrs and they slipped like something terrible. I would definetly hunt up some clutches, wp seals, crank seals.
Ya, I wouldn't have put money on it either, guess it just shows you can never rule out anything.

I hope the clutches are alright too, would really suck if they were brand new and just got ruined. I guess it's actually a good thing I left the gas turned on, that way I found the problems now instead of on the trail. We got the engine out of the frame tonight, will start taking it apart when I get some free time.

Any body have a preference for a gasket set, vesra, cometic, oem?

I JUST put a cometic set on my bike and it is as tight as a nun's ass. However Dr. Q Makes a reuseable copper head gasket that I really want. He also has billet thrust washers too! Replace your piston bearing with one out of an rm250 while your there too!

I still cant believe the gas pouring out of your motor like that, now I can say I have seen it all!!!!!!!!!!!

if you get a copper head gasket you have get your head oringed
i got one and didn't know this and put it on and the damn thing leaked everywhere
oem or cometic would be your best choice i would say
local parts dealer who owns 4 zilla's said the oem are probably the best ones to get

I always liked the OEM's...but they're so damn expensive....nothin like blowing 40 bucks on just a head gasket
