Default Hinson baskets

OK, John down at Hinson has a few baskets for the zilla set aside for emergencies. This is something you can pic up thru a vendor friend of mine if John's willing to let them go. No fence sitting. If he lets them go, you have to be ready to order it N O W!!!! Post if you have the cash and want one.

Wait till I call Hinson on Mon. I've been on the Phone several times trying to get them moving. And never was told there were some on stock... They said that they were still on order and not ready for production yet....If they have some on the shelf then screw a company like that....

Well, as I said, this info is from a vendor friend. He could be overstating himself (though that would suck). But, come on, don't you keep a couple spare this-n-that for emergencies, even though you're "out of stock"? I do.

Having to support a family myself as well, I understand what you're saying. BUT.....Watching my dad sell something off his own vehicles taught me not to. He'd cut his own throat for a dollar. To me it's bad advertising. People expect (why, I don't know) my stuff to be the best it can be. So, it's generally kept that way ( I refer mostly to streetbikes here). Having those aforementioned kids....I have to hold back on a few low stock items, or listen to the whining when/if their shit brakes. Then again, my opinion is based on a shop that makes most of it's income from custom fabrication labor, yours is (guessing) based on stock and repairs. I can easily say no to selling things, but not to the labor.

But, most importantly, this vendor might even be talking out his ass. Thats why I said IF he could get them. He's yet to let me down, but......

I bet Hinson probably has a few in-stock that is a reserved few. I am sure these companies keep a few of everything in-stock just for racers that might need. I don't think to many people are racing the zilla's well maybe drag racing. Anyway if it was a TRX basket I bet they have 20 in-stock and there system shows out of stock just so if a racer calls up in a bind they look like hero's and not the company that was out of stock. That's just my 2 cents. I deal with lots of vendors that say oh thats in-stock when it really isn't because they want the order in the system. Bastard parts dealers. Opps sorry flattrack!!
