any tips on welding those damn things? i cant get a good bead on mine with the tig... is it an alloy or something??? what the hell?

looks good but you didn't just butt them together and weld em up? i wouldn't trust it if thats how you did it.

they are aluminum. you have to get it really clean to weld aluminum. any dirt will cause it to weld shitty.

yeah the best way is to put a dowel in the center.. thats how i did the +8 arm on my tri-z...

Yeah, I sleeved the arm, then I just wraped 1/8" plate around it.

The aluminum needs to be extremely clean to get a good bead. Stainless Steel wire brush the hell out of it, or a roloc.

gonan need a stiffer spring on that shock and a revalve wouldnt; hury either... get ahold of flattrack and he'll get you phragles number..... the guy is a suspension whiz.... he did PAbanshees works shocks for the rebuild/revalve

The spring is new, but old... (I bought it awhile ago, and it sat outside) but its never been installed until now. That spring does not give much, when I sit on it, it drops maybe 2". Not any more than that.
