Zilla Year?

Does Anyone Know How To Tell What Year A Zilla Is Maybe By Vin# Etc? I Just Picked One Up And Have No Clue What Year It Is.

pretty sure there is a letter on the vin #. H 87, J 88, K 89, L 90. but you can easily tell if its an 87 by the reed cage and the head bolts. 5 reed cage bolts and 6 head studs = 87. 6 reed bolts and 7 head studs = 88-90
