a stock banshee can beat a ds650 in a drag race at the dunes. an 02 gsxr600 makes around 105 hp at the wheel stock. you get the picture.

ok guys i;ve seen these street bike powered quads run... and they are not as fast or imptressive as you guys may think.... they run good but they are not as fast in the sand or dirt as they are on the street..... actually no where close... the gearing in the trans is very "sreet freindly" and way way different than the gearing you need in the dirt... also a strret bike and a quad hook up very differently...... so your not lookign at a 160mph crazy fast out fo this world ride...... they are not that mush quicker than built banshees.... not saying this thigns not fast just sayign you guys might be playing it up just a bit too much thats all....... i saw a ATC250R with a gsxr750 in it at silver lake before an a ATC310R on alky smoked it every single time........

fastest thing ive seen at SL was an extremely built ATC 250r, that thing was roosting anything, NOONE could touch it. with a relaly extended swinger he was doin wheelies up test. Insane...

ive heard of that too chris ,ive spoke with trick racing and they have a banshee with a cub stock stroke that is completely drag ported not just a cleanup job like mostr do and they claim on alky and 20/40 gearing they do 10.3 in quarter mile runs while piped hyabusas are hitting 9.3's so thats not too shabby for a 350. a 2 stroke quad motor is setup entirely different everything not just gearing look at the weights alone a she motor weighs only 60lbs!.on other drag sites alot of top engine builders are in agreement that the builtup drag twin 2 strokes will crush the built 4 cylinder big bore 4 pokes i n a shorter race but the gearing on the 4 bangers caters more to long distances and will take the win up long steep hills over a 2 strokes quick burst of energy and its inherent ability to get those tires fryin quickly in the sand.

i agree,they are not that fast. i ran a 400ex with cbr600 motor on my 92lt250r on pump gas. he beat me by maybe 3-5 bikes on 500ft. dirt drag. he's got the bugs all worked out too,he's been tuning it for quite some time. i'm not putting down your 500 though that thing seems badass,nice job!

there is a lt500R running around oregon that has a fast by gast H2750 engien on nitrous... saw pivks of it a few years back on teh net.. guy that built it goes y the name dannyO..... it;s sick looking....... he claims something like 205hp
