| Hey thanks! Mild porting as part of the Trinity strengthening rebuild. I didn't go crazy, though I am aware of the power gains. It's been run through a port 'cleanup', along with the crank bushings install, rebuilt crank, resleeved back to stock bore, Wiseco, bearings seals, milled head for a bit higher comp. and the cylinder weld on the backside for more strengthening against cracks. So, in a nut shell, it's a cleaned up stocker with a mild boost(plus the Duncan pipe which is great) that is ready for a lifetime of fun, rebores, more fun, and so on. |

| looks good. how do you like those elka front shocks? and what type are they? i was thinking about getting a set for mine. |

| The elkas are worlds better than the stockers, though almost anything is. The rear shock is Gold, the fronts are foolsgold. I bought elka's low end shocks and it was about $450 shipped from their shop Canada. Fast ship, and overall the handling is great. I give them an A-, due to lack of experience with them....I only have 3 hours on the bike since rebuild. Waaay better compression and rebound dampening, doesn't beat you up like the stockers. |

| i have works dual rate with rezies and they kind of suck. bottom to easilly. whais i had saved up and bought a different brand. looks like your still not done with the restore though. i see your missing a few things! |

| Really? I heard works were pretty good. Well, I did want the PEP dual rate with REzzies, but they were a grand with bearings. So, the Elka's were a steal at $400. These pics are from a month ago, premature pics missing the rear caliper bits, I had to ride it! So, it got out of the garage for some sun, and these were snapped. I promise it's all there now! ![]() |

| Look awesome. Can you take a pic of your lower rear shock linkage? I don't think the rear of the quad should sit that high. I did the same thing to mine when I rebuilt it. You have to make sure that that the cushion is at 6'o clock postion. That would make the swing are more lateral to the ground. -Mark

yeah that looks like a common problem with people when they reinstall the 500 swingarm. i see alot of them like that for sale, and it seems like the ones that are like that fetch more money? i did that same thing when i first had mine. you'll find that it handles way better with it sitting lower. plus it won't take such a toll on the chain and sprockets, and swingarm chain slider. i replaced that swingarm slider twice before i figured out that i had it setup wrong. |
