Regardless of the changes they are making, I decided I would try to make reservations here for my august trip.

They have NEVER, not once, answered the phone, after about 6 phone call in the past week, all at various times.

I left a message that I had some questions, and they did call back, but I missed the call, and the lady said to look at their website. I left another message explaining I have questions about their policy, and the never called back.

Sounds like this place should be formally put on the places not to go.

My question was that on their website, it says only ONE ORV per site. I just wanted to make sure it would be ok to have one truck, with a trailers, and two quads. Sounds like thats not aloud, WTF.

Getting of on a rant here:
In my mind these people are so retarded. The town of mears tourism would nearly die if they closed the dunes. And when every single campground wants to be a family friendly RV resort, the are pushing away the main attraction.
MOST PEOPLE WHO RIDE AT THE DUNES ARE YOUNG PEOPLE, NOT FAMILIES.
So if their are numerous places that are family friendly, and you have the campground outside of town, which has a Bar, why in the world would you try to be like all the rest. Bad business practice I think.

EDIT:
And another thing, how many people to you think are going to continue to travel by RV when gas is at $4.18 a gallon. Alot of people will, but the numbers will start to dwindle.

I just sent them a good question Im curious on their answer. asked about stayin there while carrying a legal concealed weapon because their website kinda says no. if they say no then I have to let the M.C.R.G.O. aware of that and they will get hounded.

Man thats horrible.....the SL group pretty much had the run of the place once they saw how much buisness even just the may and august E2S trips were bringing in....wouldnt it be great if we could just camp in the dunes parking lot? haha I guess another place will have to be found. I hoep to be picking up something to ride here soon....I'm almost getting to the point where an LT80 would suffice....haha
