Val Du Lakes has been sold!

Kinda like I thought before from the rumors that I have heard, ValDuLakes campground has been sold. It is now an RV park.

Brian and Mary that own the val du lakes bar and grill still own that, and is still fully opened and is staying opened. But the campground is officially an RV park.

FUCK!! Thats all we need is another family friendly campground, which really means no partying and quiet time at 9 probably.
I was just going to make reservations next week too.

Either way, anything is better than the state park.

Your crazy. I have never had any problems at the state park. Its the cheapest to stay at, got the lake right there, and you can drink, party and have fires... what else do you need?

Well the first time I every went to SL, about 5 years ago, we stayed there.
We didnt have that many people, maby 4-5. Anyway, as it started to get later and most everyone was going to bed, the only people that were up was our site and the one next to us, which had about 16 people partying. We were drinking moderately, not being loud at all. The DNR came over to OUR site instead of the large group, searched our coolers for alcohol, even though it wasnt out in the open. So they busted us for that (we were all about 19 at the time), and searched my friend for no reason and busted him for a small amount of weed (even though he never had it out during our stay). Although they didnt press any charges, they were dicks the whole time, and made us leave by 9am the next morning. It was our first night, so we had trouble finding a place to stay the next, thats when I discovered Val Du Lakes, and I vowed never to goto the state park again.

Well the underage alcohol and drugs I can see at the state park. Alcohol itself is allowed, except for like a 25 day period from the middle of may to the middle of june, which is deemed graduation season, and no alcohol is allowed in the state parks. but othe than that, you can drink and have a good time, or at least we always have, I cannot speak for anyone else.

By far valdu was the best party campground there was, we use to do truck pulls and all sorts of stuff there at 3-4am, no one cared.

But I like the statepark just as much, or more so now.

the classic story of u dont know what u got till its gone... at least you guys have SOMEWHERE to ride without driving to your neighboring state, move to new jersey, see how u like it!!
